Marianne Anooshian (formerly known as Marianne A. Simoni) is an Associate at the Law Offices of Andrew M. Cohen, P.C. Admitted to practice law in the State of New York, Ms. Anooshian has extensive experience working for several boutique law firms. Prior to working in private practice, Ms. Anooshian  served as an Acting Village Justice for the Incorporated Village of Manorhaven, New York, and as an Associate Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice.


Ms. Anooshian's practice is primarily focused on representing families and individuals in the areas of Guardianship and Elder Law, Estate Administration and Estate Planning. Ms. Anooshian strives to ensure that her clients’ goals are achieved and that their interests are protected.


Ms. Anooshian is eligible for court appointments in Nassau County, Suffolk County and Queens County as a Court Evaluator, Attorney for the Alleged Incapacitated Person, Counsel to the Guardian, and Trustee of a Supplemental Needs Trust pursuant to Part 36 of the Rules of the Chief Judge of the New York State Unified Court System.


Ms. Anooshian received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. While in law school, Ms. Anooshian was an intern with the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, and a summer intern for the Hon. Charles R. Richey, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Ms. Anooshian received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University.


Ms. Anooshian is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law and Special Needs Section and Trusts and Estates Law Section. Ms. Anooshian  is also a member of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Elder Law, Social Services and Health Advocacy Committee, and Surrogate’s Court Trusts & Estates Committee.


Ms. Anooshian is the author of Your First SCPA 17-A Proceeding: A Step by Step Primer, 35.3 NYSBA General Practice Section Journal 8 (Fall 2014).
